If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.
"My claim was denied."
You got the letter. It says no, in language designed to end the conversation. But a denial is the start of a process — you have the right to appeal. We help you read the letter, find the actual reason, and build the response.
"This bill makes no sense."
Five pages of codes, a number that doesn't match what the hospital told you, and a due date. We go through it line by line, check it against your plan, and help you ask the right questions before you pay.
"Open enrollment has 40 plans and I have no idea."
Premiums, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, networks, formularies — the menu is engineered to overwhelm. We narrow it to what matters for your doctors, prescriptions, and budget, and explain the tradeoffs plainly.
"I'm turning 65 and Medicare is an alphabet soup."
Parts A, B, C, D. Medigap. Medicare Advantage. Enrollment windows you can't afford to miss — Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7 each year. We walk through it in plain English, on your timeline.
"I'm managing my parent's care."
Caregivers carry the paperwork, the phone calls, and the worry. We take the paperwork and the phone calls — reviewing coverage, questioning bills, and keeping one organized file — so you can focus on the person.
"I'm new to the US health system."
If you grew up somewhere with simpler coverage, the American system feels like it was designed by a committee of committees. We'll explain how it actually works — networks, referrals, cost-sharing — without the jargon.
And who it's not for
Honesty goes both ways. We're probably not your answer if:
- You just need a quick Medicare plan comparison. Your state's free SHIP counseling program does this well, at no cost — find yours through Medicare.gov.
- You need someone to enroll you in a plan or sell you insurance. We're not licensed agents; a licensed agent or broker does that.
- You need medical advice. That's your doctor's job, and we'll be the first to say so.
If you're unsure which side you fall on, that's exactly what the free fit call is for — book one and we'll tell you straight.
