Lumen Health Navigation
About

A navigator who's actually read the policy.

Portrait of Puru Gaur, founder of Lumen Health Navigation

Puru Gaur, founder — Atlanta, Georgia.

Lumen Health Navigation was founded in 2026 by Puru Gaur — MPH, a health policy background, and a career in biopharma commercial intelligence reading the fine print behind coverage and access decisions.

That's the credibility anchor, and it's worth saying plainly: this practice exists because Puru spent years learning how coverage decisions actually get made — what "medically necessary" means on paper versus in practice, how formularies and networks are built, and where the system's doors are for people who know where to look.

The idea spun out of the health insurance navigator work on The RX Signal — helping readers understand the business and policy forces behind their coverage. Readers kept asking for help with their own cases. So this became its own practice: one person, real cases, real follow-through.

Honest about scope

Lumen Health Navigation is not a licensed insurance agent, does not sell or enroll you in insurance plans, and does not give medical advice. What it does: navigation and advocacy — helping you understand your options, read your bills and denial letters, prepare appeal paperwork, and find care in your network. When you need licensed insurance advice, we'll tell you to talk to a licensed agent. When you need medical guidance, we'll tell you to talk to your doctor.

A new business, honestly presented: founded 2026, no invented history, no borrowed testimonials. The reputation gets built one case at a time — starting with yours.
